  • Virginia, Maryland: Account Manager, Higher Ed

    The Position

    Fuseideas is looking for an Account Manager in the Greater Washington DC/Chesapeake Bay region to manage some of our high profile, diverse client accounts in the region, with a focus on Higher Education.  Clients include Georgetown University, George Mason University, Norfolk State University, University of Baltimore, and more.  

    The ideal candidate would be a motivated self-starter who would be responsible for leading direction across varying channels, including web/interactive, traditional media, print, branding, broadcast, and content/social media.  The candidate we are looking for is able to efficiently and effectively manage the strategic direction and execution of client work and is responsible for ensuring that all creative work follows our established agency process as well as keeping client satisfaction top of mind.

    In this role, you will manage your client's book of business, managing their goals and expectations, while helping guide the overall inclusive marketing strategy for your accounts. You will work with the agency teams to ensure all initiatives are delivered on schedule and on budget at a high level of quality.

    We also would like this candidate to be an integral part of our Diversity and Inclusion initiatives within the agency and our clients.

    Minimum qualifications to be successful in this role:

    • 5+ years of account management experience
    • Experience with higher education clients or working directly within a diverse, inclusive higher education environment
    • Thorough understanding of the higher education landscape, especially in the Mid-Atlantic region
    • Experience working on web and digital projects or being part of the creative development and production process for both traditional and interactive media-based programs
    • Experience estimating, tracking, and managing multi-phase project budgets
    • Exceptional time management, attention to detail, proofreading and organizational skills
    • Assisting with the development of client presentations
    • Able to resolve and/or escalates project issues in a timely fashion
    • Able to think strategically, offering solutions that solve multiple levels of client needs
    • Coordinate for Agency diversity and inclusion initiatives
    • Travel as needed

    Location: This is a remote position.  We are primarily considering candidates in the Greater D.C/Chesapeake Bay Region, which are local to the accounts this position will support.
